She has conducted research in the areas of abuse of older adults, adult day services, preferences of older adults for long-term care and housing, health care decisions of older adults, the needs of older parents who have children with developmental disabilities, falls prevention, and hospice-palliative care. She is currently involved in research examining the current and future housing needs of seniors, hospice-palliative care volunteers, and the social and support networks of rural seniors.
